The first day of spring has finally arrived!! We've had a rough March weather-wise; snow, sleet, rain, wind, and lots more rain. Every now and then we'd get a nice day that warmed up above 50 degrees, but then the very next day it was back to cold and wet. Rita's does free water ice every March 20th, so we were more than happy to get in line for our free treat!
March definitely came in like a lion, but yesterday it was finally sunny (although still a little damp from all the rain), so despite the threat of a very soggy bum from wet playground equipment, we played at the park with some friends before hitting Rita's. Leah got her very own cup and decided it would be much easier to just shovel it in with her hands instead of trying to use the spoon.
Zach's always game for anything that involves sugar!
I knew Lucy would be totally jealous that I'd taken Zach and Leah for a Rita's, so after dinner we had to go clean the church (our turn on the rotation), so we promised Luce we'd stop by Rita's afterwards.
Jon and Lucy headed in to get their free treat while I waited outside with Zach and Leah, but poor Zach was so sad about having to share one, we let him double-dip. Shhhh! Don't tell! HAPPY SPRING!
