On Thursday-- miracle of miracles-- Jonthan got sent home early so he could prepare for the UNLV-Air Force game that night. His squadron was "required" to attend the tailgate party and game, so we got to go with him to the party for some free hot dogs!!
Wohooo! We were like the only family there, it was mostly airmen and staffers, so Lucy and Zach got quite a bit of attention. In fact, they even made a dance circle around Luce when she was busting some signature moves.:)
We got a nice sunset at Sam Boyd stadium.
Tossin' around the football with Daddy! Air Force: 35 UNLV: 20 Go Air Force!!
And for fun, Lucy has developed a style all of her own. She has a hard time understanding though that sometimes you can't wear certain outfits to preschool-- like this lovely bathing suit ensemble.:)
Little Buddies!! Lucy is getting super excited for her birthday in 2 weeks. We wrote out her invitations yesterday and she made one for just about everyone she could think of-- and kept asking, "Are Eva and Sophie coming?", "Is my Grandma Cardon coming?", "Is Taylor coming?" She has been missing her extended family a lot since we moved-- which is weird, but I guess the only frame of reference she had was having them come visit her in Philadelphia. She even said the other day, "I wish we could move back to Phillydelphia so my grandmas would come visit me." I think it will help to have company come for Thanksgiving, so now that we're settled in (I think this summer it still felt like we were on vacation when people visited) she sees that people come see her here in Las Vegas, too!

I'm sure Devin will be so happy to hear you went to a football game. Go Air Force! Now you have another team to cheer for. We can't wait to see you in two days! I'm counting down...
We wish we could come to Lucy's birthday party, too! Maybe we could set up video chat so Eva can wish her a happy birthday. And we're super excited to come see you in Vegas. I hope you don't have much going on the week after Christmas. I need you to show me around since you know where all the hotspots are!
Seeing Jonathan in shorts makes me wonder if you can do something about the weather in Vegas this week. What's up with that? All you ever do is complain about how hot it is, and now the highs are in the 40s. I think I'm going to lose my mind. I was hoping for some outdoor fun, but now I'm probably going to end up in a casino all day trying to come up with Taylor's tuition which is due.
That is so funny that Lucy wants more visitors!!! We had a lot more visitors in Florida than in Denver too!! I guess it's really about where people want to go?!
Sign us up for a visit! We'd love to come sometime next spring to visit you. BTW...did you straighten Lucy's hair for the tailgating party? It doesn't look as curly as it normally does.
gosh those kids just get bigger and bigger with each post! i wish you guys could move back to phillydelphia too, for me own selfish reasons! ;)
Ah come on, Mom. Why can't Lucy wear a bathing suit to pre-school? You ARE in Vegas. That's funny that they require Jonathan to attend a football game. Well, I can think of worse things.
