Since there are no options in Washington State, my vote wwould be those close to home like:

Mountain Home or Hill, then it would be for something fun like, Langley or somewhere with history. Then anywhere but somewhere really cold like Norht Dakota.

How exciting! It would be fun to pick somewhere different. But, I know Derek's brother really liked Clovis and we'll be sure to visit you guys if you come to Luke - it's REALLY close :)

First start with anything in the inter mountain west (ID, UT, CO)... Then I'd put California bases. I wouldn't normally choose to live there but the Air Force is bound to compensate for cost of living right?? And Cali would be so much fun, great weather... It would fun. Then you have your west bases that are further from home, hot or cold, which do you prefer. MT and WY if you like cold and closer to home (driving distance), NM, AZ if you like hot but further from home (Still have to fly home, 18+ hrs). Then VA and a few bases around us. :) I'd like to say we're moving west soon but I wouldn't be at all surprised if we're there for at least another 3 years. So that would be VA, NC, MA,and Charleston, not Sumter SC. But I would love for you to put Langley up near the top. :) Then Florida. The church has a similar feel to California, a good amount of members, great weather, cheap airfare, we can drive there and so many cool places to visit and endless cruise options. Think about it. HI would be fun but 3 years?? I don't think I could handle it that long... maybe for year 4. Same goes with anything international. So, so fun, but a couple months international is about all I can take. Maybe year 4. Then fill it in with the South and mid-west. If you need those ranked let me know. I'd rank those starting with the most highly requested then go down. If you put a low requested place too high up, you could get sent there. Good luck! We can't wait to find out where you're going!

I thought that there was one in Spokane??? I vote Santa Barbara purely for selfish reasons. When do they let you know where you are going?

YEA! Well, for me, I would definitely choose a WARM location so... any of the ones in arizona, santa barbara, and florida. there you go.... and i guess idaho would be cool too.

Since I love Jane Austin, for me it would be: 1. England, 2. England; then 3. Hawaii, 4. Boston, 5. Langley or somewhere in Florida. But I'm sure wherever you go, that will end up being that right place :)

Okay, so here were our final 5 (in no particular order): San Antonio, TX, Santa Barbara, CA, Colorado Springs, CO, Mountain Home, ID, and Tucson, AZ. Since this was just a preliminary list, they won't let us know probably until April or early May... A long time to wait. Thanks for the input everyone!!

By Friday? As in 2 days ago? Man! I hope I didn't miss the voting. LOL.

You already know our votes...all 3 places in New Mexico and anything that's close to it...ie Texas, Colorado, Arizona.

I also vote for Hickam in Hawaii. You would SO love it there, and I would SO visit you at least once if not twice a year.

I also vote for the base in England. Wouldn't that be so rad? Again, if you went there, I would visit FOR SURE!!

VANDENBERG!!!!!!! That's in my hometown! Pleaaaase?! We'd get to hang out allll the time:) We go up there every 2 or 3 months to visit! Plus, the weather is mild all year round, it seriously never gets above 75 degrees...it's awesome! I'm excited to see where you go!!!! YAY!

Oh & it's not actually in Santa Barbabra it's in lowly ol' Lompoc (my hometown) but SB is like an hour away;)

I know it's too late, but I choose Dayton, Ohio. It's only 45 minutes from us.

I just saw your list and you did some good picking. How long would you be in one of those places? And I can't wait to find out which one you get. As I'm sure you're feeling much the same way.

how long would you be spending there? it's it's just a year, then i pick somewhere in the east (like tamar said, for selfish reasons), but otherwise i'd love it to be idaho, or somewhere close to there because i want to seeeeeee you! i'm so excited to find out, i can't believe you guys are moving already, where did the year go?

Peterson or FE Warren. Preferrably Peterson. If you went to Lakenheath (England) you'd be right by where I served my mission. We lived with members that were stationed there.
